Dallas Gunman Was Trained To Kill
- Micah Johnson, the Dallas gunman, had trained two years prior to the attack.
- He took a course at a self-dense school, that taught firearm tactics “under high levels of stress.”
- His neighbor had also reportedly informed investigators that he was running military drills in his backyard.
Five police officers are dead in Dallas because of one man, Micah Johnson. He tactfully shot down and robbed them of their life. It was not the kind of assault that could be labeled impassioned. It was cold and calculated. It was trained.
Micah Johnson was trained. Not only was he an Army veteran, but he had received training from a private self-defense school in Texas, The Academy of Combative Warrior Arts. The school focuses on teaching firearm tactics under high levels of stress.
One of the courses the school offers is called the Tactical Applications Program, or TAP.
The website says, “Reality is highly dynamic, you will be drawing your firearm, moving, shooting on the move, fixing malfunctions, etc. all under high levels of stress. Most people never get to train these skills as they are not typically allowed on the static gun range.”

Not only was Johnson trained but he was well rehearsed. A neighbor of Johnson's reported him to investigators after the neighbor witnessed him doing some kind of military drill in his backyard. Clearly, nothing was made of the neighbors discovery and no investigation was started.
Micah Johnson had become obsessed with his attack before going through with it. Investigators discovered an arsenal in his home after the attack. Rifles, ammunition, bomb-making materials and journals on combat tactics all were found during an investigation.
Officials have reported that Johnson was wearing some kind of protective vest and wielding a military-style semi-automatic rifle during the attack.
That night marked the deadliest night for police officers since September 11th, 2001. Adding to the irony of history, the twelve officers that were shot, were so just a few blocks from where President John F. Kennedy had been killed in 1963.
So far, Micah Johnson has not been linked to any activist groups and no one has taken “responsibility” for the attack. Yet, Johnson did follow a black militant group on social media that had posted comments that encouraged violence against police.
Usually, an attack, where one man is angry and let's loose, isn't premeditated. Johnson's attack was planned. In that sense it was a terrorist attack, he trained, he studied, he made sure to practice. To me, it seems that all the evidence points to someone else directing Micah towards the attack.
Yet, if Micah was just the puppet, who was pulling the strings?
