More details have come to light in a sexual assault accusation against former Vice President Joe Biden, and it’s putting the Democratic party in a tough position.
Biden’s former aide, a woman named Tara Reade, says the then-senator sexually assaulted her in 1993. Several other women have also accused Biden of inappropriate physical contact. However, the mainstream media has been unsurprisingly mum on the topic. Reade’s story is particularly hair-raising, and there is mounting evidence that corroborates the former staffer’s claim.
Reade’s account of her encounter with Biden is enough to make most people’s skin crawl. “It happened all at once,” she told podcast host Katie Halper, “his hands were on me and underneath my clothes,” Reade told Halper. “There was no like, exchange really. He just had me up against the wall.” Reade said “everything shattered” after the traumatizing encounter with Biden.
Reade gave a graphic depiction of her run-in with Biden. “His hands were on me and underneath my clothes, and he went down my skirt and then up inside it and he penetrated me with his fingers and he was kissing me at the same time and he was saying some things to me.” She said Biden asked her if she wanted “to go somewhere else,” then, after she pulled away, Biden said, “come on, man. I heard you like me.”
Pieces of the Past

Several pieces of evidence corroborating Reade’s story have come to light since she first went public with her accusation. Reade said she told her mother about the incident with Biden, and her mom insisted that she contact the police. Reade declined to do so, however, her mother seems to have sought advice on the matter.
A 1993 video has recently surfaced that seems to show Reade’s mother, Jeanette Altimus, calling Larry King to discuss the matter. In the recording, the caller asks “what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington?” She said, “My daughter has just left there after working for a prominent senator… the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.”
King asks her, “In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?”
“That’s true,” the woman who is believed to be Reade’s mother answers. Reade’s mother is currently deceased, but Reade has confirmed that the caller was her mom.
At least one of Reade’s friends and her brother have also confirmed that Reade told them about the incident at the time it occurred. Another friend also confirmed hearing about it several years later.
Democrats Hold Back
The accusations against Biden appear to be a lot more credible than the case against Justice Brett Kavanaugh. However, Democrats seem to be a lot less enthusiastic about pursuing this particular #METOO complaint. Mainstream media has been conspicuously quiet regarding the incident. Additionally, the so-called champions of women’s rights in the Democratic party have been surprisingly magnanimous towards the growing list of shocking complaints against the former vice president.
Biden’s campaign has dismissed the accusations outright as false. This puts the former vice president’s foot squarely in his own mouth. In 2018, Biden spoke to the Huggington Post about the sexual assault allegations surrounding then-nominee Brett Kavanaugh. “For a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus, nationally, you’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real,” said Biden, “whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not it’s been made worse or better over time. … But nobody fails to understand that this is like jumping into a cauldron.”
Biden has been keeping a very low profile since the accusations heated up. Although, mainstream media hasn’t made any attempt to question the former VP about the case. For conservatives that remember the Kavanaugh case, it’s another example of glaring bias in the media. Meanwhile, the muted reaction from the #METOO Democrats shows just how quickly the ‘progressive’ party will sell out its principles in a bid to grab more power.
