Taco Bell is launching a “Go Mobile” restaurant concept for 2021.

“Taco Bell is merging technological advancements, innovative operations and a people-first approach into its most modern Taco Bell expression yet: Taco Bell Go Mobile,” the company announced on Thursday.

The new concept allows Taco Bell “to push the boundaries of the QSR customer experience even further with the addition of several digital features,” the company said. They came up with it “with today's consumer in mind,” the company mentioned. The evolved design aims to help guests “order ahead through the brand's mobile app and enjoy the Taco Bell experience in a frictionless way.”

Customers can order using the Taco Bell app. Each location will have two drive-thru lanes to speed up the ordering and take-out process.

“The ‘smart’ restaurant will also detect when customers arrive for their orders,” as per Fox Business. It can also “suggest the quickest route to pick up their food.”

Taco Bell Go Mobile customers may also opt to receive their order via contactless curbside pick-up. More than this, Taco Bell will also include “tablet ordering in drive-thrus and curbside pickup,” on mobile. They then added that both of which will be operated by a concierge service of team members, known as ‘bellhops.’”

“With demand for our drive-thru at an all-time high, we know adapting to meet our consumers' rapidly changing needs has never been more important,” said Taco Bell president and global COO Mike Grams. “For the first time, our guests will have the ability to choose the pickup experience that best fits their needs, all while never leaving the comfort of their cars.”
