Whistleblower Leaks Internal Facebook Documents That Reveal Campaign to Censor Vaccine Information

Project Veritas stayed true to a promise to obtain and disclose documents allegedly given to the group by Facebook insiders. The said documents seem to show a detailed campaign for Facebook to censor any criticism of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The group said: “Two Facebook Insiders have come forward to Project Veritas with leaked internal documents, showing the Big Tech giant’s plan to police ‘Vaccine Hesitancy’ (VH) through surreptitious ‘comment demotion’.”

“The company has set up a tier system to rank comments on various scales, based on how much the statement questions or cautions against the Covid-19 vaccination,” they added.

They further stated that “Tier 2, for instance, represents ‘Indirect Discouragement’ of getting vaccinated and according to PV’s sources, user comments such as these would be heavily ‘suppressed.’”

“It doesn’t matter if the comments are true, factual or represent reality,” they pointed out. “The comment is demoted, buried and hidden from view of the public if it clashes with this system,” they also said.

“They’re trying to control this content before it even makes it onto your page before you even see it,” one of the insiders told Project Veritas. “If I lose my job, it’s like, what do I do? But that’s less of a concern to me.”

Facebook Violates FFC Guidelines in Censoring COVID-19 Vaccine-Related Criticisms

With this, the social media site has violated Section 203 FCC guidelines. These guidelines mean to protect platforms like Facebook from being sued for misinformation. This is due to the fact that Facebook is functioning in this case as an editor. It is not functioning as a “fact-checker,” but rather a “narrative checker.”

A source explained that what’s happening doesn't fit with the narrative of vaccines being good. The source said that “Everyone should get it,” and Facebook will single out those who don’t.

According to a data technician, the social media company tries to control the said content. He added that Facebook has done so even before content reaches users’ pages and before they can see it.

Before he released the documents, Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe wondered how Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg can defend this. He said even Zuckerberg’s own employees have started coming to Project Veritas. These workers can’t stand the “wrongdoing” they see unfold in their workplace anymore.

Thomas Massie, one representative, questioned the connection between Facebook’s “fact-checkers” and at least one vaccine manufacturer, which is Johnson & Johnson.

According to Reclaim the Net, Massie raised questions regarding the financial connection between “a common online fact-checker” and a company like Johnson & Johnson, which is a subject of fact checks related to the latter’s COVID-19 vaccines.

Massie said a project by Factcheck.org that addresses COVID-19 and vaccine misconceptions is being funded by a group with over 15% of its assets in Johnson & Johnson stock.

As per the report, the noticeable amount of stock in a COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing company would make people question if the said project is unbiased.
